Black powdery substance...

Whenever a little water is spilled on the floor in my grow, after it has dried I will find a very lose black powdery type of substance there. Is this a type of mold/mildew? Can it get in the plants?

almost sounds like mildew, but that's only a guess .. you might take a sample of it to your local nursery for identification ( you also may NOT want to ask the the Health Dept., in case they decide to quarantine your home, or something ) ... :jointsmile:
