....and how many members of our current crop of political animals do you think started out with such high ideals, only to find that it was the system that changed them? politics has been described as the fine art of compromise and one of the first things surrendered in the process seems to be one's principles. caught up in the game, the players seem to lose sight of any goal but attaining more power. too much is never enough and you can never have too much, all in the name of those ideals that were shed to acquire that power in the first place.

the road to power is paved with discarded integrity and populated by murderers and thieves. how can any traveler not be corrupted by such an atmosphere? i'm sure that many of washington's political denizens believe they are still fighting the good fight, as they sell the last of their souls for one more day on the hill.

I heard about Ron Paul and quickly decided to follow another pot friendly candidate, Mike Gravel. After researching I found that Gravel has so much experience and helped stopped Vietnam, the draft, etc. Mike Gravel has a lot of great things that he would like to do in order to strengthen our country again. Unfortunately he isn't nearly as popular as the other candidates including Ron Paul. I've decided to Rating: 5
