Is hot melt glue a safe sealant?

I'm making a bong, but my stem is just a tiny bit too small for my bowl. Can I use hot melt glue to seal them together, or will I end up smoking the glue? Is there any thing else I can use?

Hot glue is okay for your body. Just let it dry before smoking out of it.

Yeah its fantastic, the more foreign agents inhaled the better, as far as I am concerned.

Buy a plastic bong for 10-15 bucks man and save your body.

no, it is not that safe. If it doesn't get hot, great, but even so, you are inhaling fumes from glue, so to answer your question, absolutly not.

Like Beefer86 said, save up some cash, and at least buy a cheap bong with a metal bowl. It is much safer than hot glue.

Actually the hotmelt glue worked fine. It seals the stem to the bowl, but on the outside. The bowl doesn't get hot enough to even soften it, but that might be because of our Canadian weather. Either way, I smoked it dry (without anything in the bowl) several times. No coughing, no smoke, no weird taste or smell or seizures. It could be because the water in the bong is catching all of that, I dont know, but it works great!

I don't think hot glue would be that bad. This is just my theory of course but I think it's more just melty robber/plastic han actual chemically glue. I wouldn't experiment without confirmation when it comes to health though.

hot glue is not good, one day your gonna be having a big smoke session, not even thinking about it and then bam, your bowl falls out along with ashes and hot glue, not a good situation, dont use anything that will react with heat in any way...
