can you take clones during vegetation period and thus continue vegetation for 4 weeks more? and then go into flowering?what would be the results out of such thing?

i can raise the lights up until 8 ft with ease...the thing is i am left with 4 feminised seeds which grew to 9 inch healthy plants in 23 days of vegetation and 5 feminised seeds which grew into plants of much smaller and hopeless i think to survive.....one thought is to let the 4 plants to fill my space.....the space is 6ftx3ft under 400 watts......the height is much more...maybe around 12 ft...the pots are 2 gallons each.....what are my options over here? should i start a sea of green or not? presume that 1/4 of the plants turns male......when is best to make clones?

Take clones about 3 weeks before flowering to give your plants enough time to recuperate.
