canadians please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey that's great man, I may be moving there this January myself! (or Vernon, don't know yet).
First of all, Vancouver has some absolutely fantastic weed, most potent stuff I've ever had really.
Second, the attitude there is the most lenient in all North America as far as I know. Me and my friends walk down the streets of downtown in public smoking joints all the time, and nobody cares. I can't say cops will all ignore you of course, but in my experience all of them have. It's pretty much the Amsterdam of Canada, almost nobody gets busted for merely smoking a doob.
I also suggest you check out the Amsterdam Cafe. I haven't been there myself, but my friends have and they'll rent volcano vaporizers to you. You can sit there with you buddy's having coffee and taking hits off the vap, it's truly marvelous.
Cost of living is pretty high, but hey lots of people still manage it and have walking around money. There's always lots of work with the construction boom btw.
Good luck to you:thumbsup:

You're going to have to do some reasearch on prices of living as it varies from area to area. Those are basic things you can easily look up yourself.
As for the people here though, they are great. I have no complaints. There are many, many different kinds of cultures and all are accepted by mostly anyone. It's not a perfect city and has problems like anywhere else, but overall, the crime rate is low and weed is cheap.
Easy to find and there are a few coffee shops downtown where a stranger can locate some goods.
As for being able to to find work while being illegal: Most jobs require a SIN (Social Insurance Number), now I'm guessing with no VISA, you don't have much legal identification. That will make it near to impossible to make many legally. Now I'm sure there are jobs that pay under the table, but that is far and few between. I suggest becoming legal if you wish to move and start over.
