Need some help from the pro's

so im new to the forum and i originally signed up just to read into growing... i have been reading on the forums here for a couple weeks on info for the proper grow and here is where i am i thought i would ask for pointers or suggestions..

so i germinated a few seeds a month ago that i found in some master bubba kush i came across... only one sprouted and started growing... untill a week ago it had been all outdoors in a pearlite soil... i fed only water to the plant for the first 3 weeks and now i have begun feeding her food ... im using 2 cfl single twist 23watt bulbs on a Y - socket hanging 6 inches above the now 8" tall plant ... i have run into a couple problems two leaves at the very bottom of the stem have yellowed and fallen, the rest of the plant is fine and growing fine.

i am kinda putting all my eggs in one basket because i still cant tell if the plant is male or female...

    my questions are...

1... am i ok with my lighting situation? knowing that i only plan on growing the one plant for the time being

2... how many hours do i keep the lights on and off? i read everything from 12/12 to 24/7 but for applications larger than mine, i only have one plant...

3... how big should i expect the plant to get before i start the flowering process? 1 1/2 feet? 3 feet?

4... and this sounds dumb but for small set up like this how often and how much should i water? so far i have been feeding an ounce of water every couple of days and a light spray of low solution plant food every morning maybe 2 pumps of the spray

any suggestions or answers or anything at all to help would be much appreciated, i am totally new to the growing side of things and have already spent 30 plus hours reading on your forums just havent found everything im looking for i thought maybe u guys could help... thanks again!!!

    one love :rastasmoke:

WELL LIGHTING SHOULD BE 18/6 UNTIL READY TO FLOWER THEN TO 12/12, I WOULD ADD A COUPLE CFL'S, BUT SWITCH TO OTHER LIGHTING WHEN FLOWERING, THE DEAL WITH SIZE, MORE OF THE LOOK RATHER THAN SPECIFIC SIZE

remember cfl's have very limited penetration. past the 12 in. mark and it is insufficient.

everyone will tell you to ditch the cfls for better lights but im assuming you just have a small setup and probably not alot of money to spend on a grow setup! If thats the case then cfls will do fine. You might want to flower the plant before it reaches a foot tall because just the 2 cfls wont be sufficient light for a 2 or maybe 3 foot tall plant by the end of flowering. If you only plan on having those 2 cfls, grow this plant with one main cola! Trim most of the side shoots but leave the fan leaves. Leave only the one main cola and give it atleast 2 weeks more in veg to make sure that its fully repaired and healthy before you go into flowering.

There's several people that do well with cfl grows for there first time. It's definitely cheap and easy for first timers. Hell i even started off with cfls at first so i know how it feels bro. So if this is the only thing you can afford then go for it, you definitely wont be getting an ounce or anything like that but you'll gain knowledge and experience and maybe an 1/8 of your very own homegrown!

Good luck and i hope you continue to fill us in!

I grow with cfl's myself. Just put light on the sides as it gets taller.
