    Umm..

High Pressure Sodium IS an HID light...So is MH. :wtf:

HID is just a classification of light intensity...

What color is the bulb that is in the socket? How many watts is the ballast capable of producing?

EYE 360W HPS Conversion Bulb - Plantlighting Hydroponics

this aint the right wattage, but im sure you will find the one you need. I have almost the same setup, 400 watt mh ballast with a conversion bulb, Works great.

I know they are the same type of light,as T8 and T12 floros are,but I didn't think you could interchange the bulbs between the different ballasts.
    Its white Light,
Its the kind of Fixture you would see in a CVS or toys R US.Very Big and bulky,I'm going to take the socket out, run a neutral and power line from the ballast and put the bulb under a DIY reflector.
So the white light is considered MH?

    Its actually a 400W
You know I think you are right,I was thinking of bulbs.

I think I might be ok.
It says on the sight that those bulbs are suitable for M59 ballast.
It says the same thing on my ballast, suitable for M59 or H33 bulbs.
Does that mean I need a conversion bulb? or will a normal HPS work in this ballast?
