I imagine I??ll catch a lot of flames for this, but it??s true. The Red Sox always were first in class in years past. They had players like Yaz, Pudge, Evans, even the great Ted Williams, just to name a couple. A few years ago they even had Yankee fans rooting for them. They had lost so much that curse was even believed. Who will ever forget the heroism of Schilling??s bloody foot? Josh Beckett is one of the best pitchers I??ve ever seen. But they??ve taken a page from teams that have won because of buying good players, no matter what those players are like. They have Papi who actually is a good player. But is his nick-name Papi or flabby or maybe floppy? The guy who really annoys me is Ramirez. That idiot hits a long ball, then stands there in the batters box with his arms raised, in that ??ain??t I great?? pose. He gets a hit with fatman Ortiz on first. Slow-poke still gets all the way around the bases and even scores but yahoo Manny only waltzes as far as first. And what??s with those faggy dreads. Shoulder length is cool, but half way down his back? I??ve gotta admit, he plays the ??monster? well. But taking a water bottle out to the field with him? He??s the kind of guy they??ll have to make a new rule just for. What would be the ruling have been on the off chance a ball caromed off the bottle? But my point is that loss of class. Professional my ass. No matter if they win the series, their respectability has taken a big hit.
