I've always loved Hunter's writing, and only hope that one day my own writing will evolve into something as candid and captivating as his was. It'll be tough reaching that same level without the cocktails of various drugs, but it'll definitely be fun trying!

Haha, I think it was Vonnegut or Bukowski that asked the question whether writing while drunk made it better and easier or whether it was just an illusion. In Hunter's case, it added to his satiric appeal.
