Do new books suck too?
It seems like new music, movies, and television suck. Do new book suck too? I have been thinking about reading books recently because I am so sick of everything else. I don't want to bother trying something that I won't like. I've never read novels outside of school. What is your opinion about new books? Do you read new books, or do you just read classics? Do you think there are enough new books that I could always be reading a good new book?

Yeah... I pretty much spent my second year in high school talking to classmates, then I gave the freshmen a chance this year. They all suck. I even went to one of their parties. I'm back.

Just read an old book. Look for something that will keep your attention. I would also reccomend Ken Kesey, as well as Hunter S. Thompson, Philip K. Dick, and Irvine Welsh

Bill Bryson is really good, it's travel-lit...it's interesting
Sometimes I find myself reading books I read in high school
-catcher in the rye (not as great reading it as an adult, it appeals more to teenagers i think)
-lord of the flies
-1984
-brave new world
-huck finn
