I personally think that this is the stupidest philosophy. The government is supposed to serve us, not the other way around.

America does kick ass though.

Kennedy didn't mean it in the sense of working for your government, he meant, or at least it's usually interpreted by most people, that he meant country in the literal sense. But, I believe we should work for our fellow man whether he be American, German, Iranian, Chinese, etc.
