Powdery Mildew Two Weeks from Harvest..yikes
I have been battling mildew for a little bit now, it was well under control but a few days ago I noticed on the buds of a few plants. I bought SuperNatural Soya'Nara... it's a mildew\pest spray. When is the best time to spray the buds... right before the lights go on I am guessing? I'm gonna go easy, the last thing I need is mold but do you guys spray this deep into flower?
The product itself is not harmful at all if smoked, it's basicly just soy bean oil but I am a little concerned about getting the plants wet. Supposedly this shit will kill the mildew within 24 hours though. Any experiences?
Should I shake them off\dry the flowers once the solution has been on there for a half hour or so or just let the plants be?razzapiggy Reviewed by razzapiggy on . P.S It's really only on the bottoms... the buds towards the bottom of the plants that is. They aren't covered by any means... I'm just not sure if I should go ahead and spray or just watch my humidity levels closely. The humidity was high in the room for a bit because I had to manually flush them out, and SunShine holds alot of water... hmm hmm

Keep the humidity down and get a fan blowing on the area. Clear away any dead/dying material.

See I've read putting a fan on it will cause it to spread more quickly... I guess once you have a good portion of it taken off the fan would help for sure right?
I have taken off the leaves that are most affected, and will be on it pretty dilligently...I think I'll give em a spray tonight once the lights are on a for a bit.

The fan will definitely spread mold spores but the mold is there because of stagnant moist air. The only way to make the area inhospitable to mold is to provide - good air circulation, low humidity, fresh air exchange.
It won't matter where the spores land because the air flow created by the fan would will prevent the spores from taking up residence and reproducing. Mold is always there, just waiting for the right conditions.
What are you going to spray with?

Spraying with SuperNatural Soyo Nara... basicly just soy bean oil.
I'll give em a light shower with it and then shake off an hour or so later... and then keep the fans in that area.... I think fans spread mold more so than mildew...hope so anyhow.
The problem isnt terrible but it sucks to deal with anything liek this towards the end of a cycle. Will let ya know how it works.

I know someone who used that method and didn;t wipe the plants off too too well..and the leaves got burnt. I'm not sure weather it was from the spray magnifying the lamp (heat burn) or the ingrediants in the spray.
I tried Soya Nara last night, I hope when I go in there when lights are on it looks better than it did yesterday. Also pulled most of what was infected.
