400w HPS, 5 gal DWC First grow

day 6 of flowering...still no definite signs of sex yet...plant is growing great though..so far i count 8 total potential bud sites..hopefully some more will squeeze out through the stretch before she starts to mature...it shall be interesting to see if i can finish this plant..i have company coming in to town dec 18th..thats 3 days short of 8 weeks from when i started flowering...so im gonna have to figure something out...


I read a few times, you can leave the plant in total darkness for 48 hours-ish for the end of its life as a shock method to promote resin formation...is this true?

ok anger and sadness over...pulled the plant, stared at its beauty for a while and then tossed it...so after christmas, new grow!! hopefully ill get a female and take me some good clones! oh well..until next time!

Dude why did you waste it like that? My first grow gave me 2 males about 30" tall. They magically transformed into an amazing batch of about 12 decently potent cookies. The 1 male from the following grow (32") gave me the same batch but half as strong. You could also get some hash oil out of the deal if you want.

nah, i think it would be a waste to run a 400W light for 8-9 weeks just to flower a male. think about the money you spend on electricity - you could just use that money to buy a bag of weed! FEMALE weed!
