While we can make that assumption, in being truthful we need to know if being home schooled would make someone more or less likely to be a free thinker and not gobble down every piece of propaganda served. Personally, I think it's human nature to take what the government says as truth. Logically, they should have the resources to best decide what is acceptable and not, but this doesn't account for the abuse of power by many.

The thing I remember about Hellen Keller is that anecdote about how her teacher used to play a practical joke on her by leaving the plunger in the toilet. That wasn't a very nice thing to do.
