I hate when they catch convicts after years on the run.
haha... by not staying in prison he did what a prison is meant to do to you, stop you from breaking laws again because "he avoided breaking the law" so he didn't get caught on the run

But 28 years is pretty impressive, i reckon after that long you'd get less and less careful and then..........shit
