pH is it better at 5.2 or 6.0

I read somewhere that using a pH of 5.2 would increase the plant growing rate, at a tremendous speed. So far, It looks like it has worked. But the leaves are droopy and not all seven leaves have formed. Is this a result of the pH being too low?
