Insomnia and marijuana?
I have trouble falling asleep as well, without the aid of marijuana. Before I smoked, I was a NyQuil junkie. That shit is awful.
But I noticed that marijuana really makes me feel refreshed in the morning, it's a natural sleep - but NyQuil, my body would be dead tired and my brain would still be bouncing around inside my head. Sometimes I'd get this weird bodylock and would feel completely conscious in a sleeping body. Getting up was a struggle, too. I felt melted into the bedsheets.
But marijuana is great. I bounce out of bed when it's light out. I know the frustration of not being able to sleep when you're out of weed. This might be a little girly, but it really helps me - go to a bath and body outlet and get some lavender-scented bath salts. Take a really warm bath with the salts, and read or play a handheld. Music makes me wired, so I usually do it in silence.
Before you get in the bath, have a bedtime snack of toast and something - toast and peanut butter, toast and Nutella (my favorite), grilled cheese - and some milk. The carbs and the milk will make you sleepy. By the time you get out of the bath and into bed, you'll be all set. Give it a shot sometime
EDIT: Budsmoker, you are right about excercise - it does help you sleep - but you have to be finished no less than three hours before bedtime, or you'll stay wired for even longer.
