I think someone leaving civilization for good and being tested in the wild for true survival would be an interesting event for someone to go through.

What would you do to survive? Sit there and cry for mommy or grab a rock, sharpen a point and stab an animal of some kind. Cavemen did it, so why couldn't any of us.
