I just bought a cabin the the Adirondack Mountains near Lake Placid about 5 miles away from Whiteface Mountain (im a BIG skiier). In fact, I closed on the place last Friday. I am completely in shock that I finally got the place of my dreams. I live in New York City so you can imagine how I felt when I sat in the living room in my cabin at night in the middle of nowhere and sparked up a nice full bowl of Haze and about 20 deer ran across the property...the exhale and subsequent rush let me know that I had arrived at my destiny. I love the woods and the outdoors in general but we cant go completely wild, were not built for it anymore. If youre going to buy a place like mine do it now because if you dont you'll be at least a year older when you do. EVERYONE IS INVITED...ESPECIALLY THE LADIES!!

Most of us are so far detached from the environment around us that I'm not sure the majority of mankind could survive on their own..in the wilderness. I know I could, I have a love for being in the woods. There's something special to me to be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the primal elements, surviving off of only what you really need. To instead of being detached from the environment, detach yourself from society. Sometimes I just get strong urges to grab a back pack and take off Rating: 5
