Have any of you simply thought of walking off?

Most of us are so far detached from the environment around us that I'm not sure the majority of mankind could survive on their own..in the wilderness. I know I could, I have a love for being in the woods. There's something special to me to be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the primal elements, surviving off of only what you really need. To instead of being detached from the environment, detach yourself from society.

Sometimes I just get strong urges to grab a back pack and take off into the wilderness for good.

The remembrance of today, is the sad feelin of tomorrow

I read somewhere, how important it is in life, not necessarily to be strong, but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once, to find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions - Into the Wild

I too have had thoughts of someday just leaving for the woods, but then I think of my guitar. Sure, I could play acoustic, but electric kicks so much ass, so I said fuck it.

Someday when I'm older, perhaps, but right now, nah...I'm enjoy making money and buying all this kick ass stuff for myself. Not to mention the weed ain't bad either, but you could grow it outside in the woods too. Surround your cabin with weed plants. Then cops would show and say, "you can't live here" and that would be the end of that.

I wouldn't mind staying the night or weekend in the woods. It is relaxing I know that. I think I could survive on my own in the wilderness but how will I ever know?
You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Paris?
They don\'t call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?
No, they got the metric system there, they wouldn\'t know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.
    What\'d they call it?
    The Royale wid Chee

Every time I get within visible distance of a forest, the urges and instincts become physical pulls and nearly audible calls for me to just break out and start running towards it. A mecca of environment and instinct. Survival and wild-tendencies.. the civility is gracefully drained out of my bones as I become more animalistic.

I love the woods. I live for the survival. I am the wild.

Yes... I too get those urges. Every day of my life.

I dream of going into the woods, being an animal, living off the land . I think life would be simpler and more satisfying.

No one said it would be comfortable, like were some hippies prancing in a meadow.......everyday would consist of surviving. I have an attraction to the hardship.

I would hunt, fish, and eat bugs. I would grow my own food as well, and scour. I would boil my water with a fire. But I'm not phobic towards the quality of my water since I'm drinking water likely contaminated with lead anyway. Hard to say nature would contaminate drinking water with lead pipes.

As for something to put on my feet, I'll figure it out eventually and deal with the pain.

And yup, if I was living in the wild, I'd have no desire wipe my ass

Of course I wouldn't do it, because I enjoy being comfortable as well. But a cabin in the woods would be a nice compromise!

yeah, it disgusts me when people are "grossed out" in nature, because people are putting SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many toxins into their bodies every day when they eat any man made food, or let alone drink water. living off the land is much more pure then in this insane world were tricked into seeing as "the normal"
