I am utilizing a walk in closet in the second story of my apartment. Let's just say it is in the coastal area of North Carolina. The closet is properly ventilated. Currently I am running one 400w HPS lamp in there. I cannot seem to get my humidity above an average of 36% and the closet heats to temperatures in excess of 86 degrees Fahrenheit during the on period of the light cycle.

Can anyone provide me with a cost effect idea to reduce the temperature and increase the humidity in my grow closet? I do not want to have to move my operation out of its nicely hidden area, but I suppose I may have to.
