Yes it was...I dont think of it the same as other marines..i respect it..but it is just a uniform..thats it..I was even honor graduate in boot camp..perris island, south carolina.

My pops has been out of the Corps since early 1962 before I was born in August of that year. He still thinks he is a Marine and I guess he is in a way because once always.
Pop's did Perris Island also, that is what my house was like growing up. I spent my childhood in the motivation platoon.
How could you have known that my pops was in the Marines? You couldnt't have. Don't trip, get some sleep.

Well, by now the point of the conversation has changed, but I would have to say the best feeling is euphoria. It is not precisely happiness, although they do feel similar. Euphoria feels warmer though, like a warm yellow light all over your body and inside too. Does anybody understand what I mean?

also excitement for me, I don't get excited over hardly anything (even Birthdays and things and I'm not even that old :/) so when I get really excited about something, I like it.

i think you hit the nail on the head, but on excitement. When you do get a thrill of genuine excitement there is an amazing rush which beats happy. though excitement is sometimes hard to find.

I think there is a thing that beats happy... HIGH! Cause when you are high, you are happy, but also relaxed, peaceful, euphoric, and so... :stoned::jointsmile::rastasmoke:

PS. Orgasmic is very good also... but being fuckin damn HIGH, when you just cant stop grinning is better... cause even if the orgasm is more intense, it last only some moments... so, all in all, being high is better even than this. :stoned:

I perceive an underlying insecurity in the premise of this thread. By that I mean that putting too much stock in happiness will inevitably set you up for disappointment. Sure it's nice when things are going your way, circumstances, friends, family, enough herbage. But I tend to enjoy all aspects of the human condition. I'm not an artist by trade, but I do have the mind of an artist. As such, it is relishable to me to feel every intricate emotion that it is possible for a human to feel, ultimately guiding me toward realizing absolute truth.

Most of us tend to simply endure negative emotions, looking forward to the time that circumstances favor us again. I find it's important to dissect, scrutinize, and soberly perceive the whole spectrum of the human condition; it's the only way life is truly and completely in your control. It also cultivates a rare maturity to bear the full burden of one's emotions indiscriminately.

By following a formula such as this, you find that you have the capability to be happy at all times because you can see yourself from a detached perspective and you know that simply to live and breathe on a daily basis is a glorious and beautiful blessing.
