I know you didn't ask me, but its my favorite thing to talk about as of current.

To me LST is when you bend the plant to grow as vert as you can. Directing its growth to the empty areas of the pot, and controlling the side stems that will eventually become your colas when you ease up with bondage and start flowering.

When most people think of LST its about bending the plant down, sometimes Tying it to itself. If you let the plant grow vertical, each side branch that will EXPLODE in growth may also need to be trained, in order to keep things even, and keep the hormones (auxins?) from regulating growth.

Its COOL Skrappie, u dont need to be asked, not in my post. Thanks for the explanation, thats kinda what my thoughts of LST were, but u kno what i mean like everyones got different ideas about suppercropping and LST and it seems like alot more. Thanks again Skrap.

So for anyone who wants to answer, including u Skrap; when do u start LST training, veg i would imagine. The only reason i ask is because last time i grew a plant it didnt even grow side branches during veg, except like the fan leaves u kno. Then a couple of weeks into flowering i started to see side branches forming. I am guessing this may be because the plant was POSSIBLY immature when i forced flowering????

Its very simple brotha, and is said to be better than topping. So is the ongoing debate about whether to Veg under 24/7 Light or 16/8. see what I mean? Its all Apples&Oranges.
