What's Led Zeppelin's problem?

Ok my first thread on Cannabis; one thing you should know about me is I'm a huge fan of all kinds of music (except most rap and country). I also think the guitar hero games are really fun and have been anticipating the release of Guitar Hero 3. Supposevely I heard some Zeppelin was going to be in the game but it turns out its not because they wouldnt give their music away. I really dont understand why they make a huge deal about putting their music in video games, movies, itunes, etc. Also ACDC is the same way.

What is the big deal?

its because they dont own the rights to their songs. the record companies do, and since acdc and led zeppelin are so popular they make it really expensive to use their music in a game or a movie, which is why you never hear zeppelin in any movies really. i feel your pain too man. i play guitar hero and im still pissed i havent been able to play stairway or black dog.

I dont know if its that their too expensive cause the people that own guitar hero are fucking billionaires now. I remember watching a School of Rock bonus feature where Jack Black got on stage and begged them to let them use their song in the movie, which they did, and thats the only Led Zeppelin ive heard in a movie or game or whatever. Someone told me its because they dont want people recreating their music...

barely any of the songs in that game are by the actual artists. most of them were played by hired professional musicians because the people that made the game are cheap bastards
