    In the Wardrobe.......

This is the 2nd attempt at cultivating indoors with this particular set up. The first resulted in 5 male plants from seed that were promptly cut down.

The set up has been constructed inside a wardrobe, with dimensions of height 65" width 35" depth 20".The inside of the grow area is completley covered in mylar. For lighting i have been blessed with one 600w hps lamp & purchased a 6" ecotechnics coolshade. This hangs 12" from the plants having recently been reduced from 18" at the advice of another ganga farmer.
To extract the heat there is a Vortice LINEO DUCT FAN, connected to the coolshade removing the heat through a small hole cut in the bottom left hand corner of the wardrobe. There is a 9" desk fan providing air circulation, I have to hope the Vortice & desk fan are providing the plants with sufficent air circulation as i have no seperate fan providing fresh air. A colleague provided me with a 20l hydroponic set up that fits comfortably inside the wardrobe alongside the Vortice fan. The same colleague has also provided two well rooted cuttings sitting in 3" Grodan Rockwool cubes. I have placed these cubes approx 10" apart on the tray which sits ontop of the hydro reservoir. The nutrient reservoir has a interpet Aqua Air Pump AP2 on 24/7 providing a fresh air supply direct to the solution. The solution is then pumped onto the tray which has the rooted cuttings sitting on it, flows past the plants roots & drains back into the reservoir. I am currently 12 days into veg. The cutting nearest the pump is approx 8" tall, a deep shade of green apart from some of the older leaves near the bottom of the plant The general look of this plant is that it is over fertilised as leaves are droopy rather than erect.. The other cutting furthest from the pump is much lighter all over & stands approx 9.5". All leaves are erect. This plant does not look over fertilised at all, infact showing a possibly nitrogen dificiency. Many leaves going yellow in places. I am extremely pleased with the root formation on both plants. The roots are white & progressing nicely through the spreader mat. Upto date I have not purchased a PH or Ec meter & can now see the improtance of both, so will be purchasing a PH liquid test kit & PH down as a matter of urgency. My plants obviously are struggling to obtain necessary nutrients which are in the solution but due to PH been incorrect (prob way too high) they cannot get what they need. Currently these plants are been fed Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Super Tea Grow, along with Grandma Enggy's Fulvic Acid F1 & Grandma Enggy's Humic Acid H2. I started with a reduced feeding dosage compared to the info provided by Advanced Nutrients & many colleagues (not to disrespect there advice in any way but so i could observe the change as i increased the concentration). I am certain that there is sufficent nutrients available in the solution but due to the inaccurate PH of the water my plants are currently showing me how important the correct PH is when growing hydro style. I plan to switch the plants into flower in 3 days time. The PH will have been corrected (5.8-6.8) b4 switching & remain correct throughout the grow. For the flowering period the plants wll get Mother Earth Super Tea Bloom,Sensi Bloom Part A/B & Grandma Enggy's Fulvic Acid F1 & Grandma Enggy's Humic Acid H2. Then when the time comes Dr. Hornby's Big Bud Liquid & Overdrive . I will flush with PH corrected distilled water.
    Left one or few photos,
Any further help or advice is appreciated!!!

    In the Wardrobe.......

    yes yes home.grower big respect.

sorry for the delay in the update, have been trying to shrug off this virus that had me laying in bed for days, anyway...
Day 4 of flower & the young ladies are not looking too bad at all. The cutting furthest from the pump which was showing possible signs of dificiency is now a much deeper shade of green compared to when this plants were in veg. In height this plant has increased to 10.5" but there is a lot more foliage & many hairs have started to appear around the plant. The cuttiing nearest the pump has increased by 1" as well, but has many more hairs all over the plant, & the leaves are erect, standing to attention. Some leaves on lower parts of both plants are yellowing, these will be removed.
The plants had a 24hr flush before been switched into flower. Root formation on both plants increased dramatically after switching which has pleased me. After purchasing a CHEAP PH tester, i can now provide my plants with food & water which they can take full advantage of. As the plants have not dramatically increased there height the light still hangs approx 12" from both plants. Obviously as plants increase there height i will move the light away from them. The aroma from both of these plants is getting stronger by the day, uuummmmm.
    have a look
