I just buy regular old compost from the garden center or supermarket. I've used it many times and it's never let me down. I've tried the shit they try to pass off as "SUPER-MIX" and all that crap but it was just the same as regular compost. The only thing different was the price; a small bag of "special-super-duper soil mix" cost me about £12, one bag of normal compost costs about £5 and the bag is so big you can only just carry it. I also mix a little perlite and vermiculite to my soil for better drainage and aeration, I mix it in the ratio of 4 parts soil, 1 part perlite and 1 part vermiculite and that's it.
I've never heard of a soil that you don't have to add a fertilizer to, all plants need feeding at some point, especially during flowering. Because I only grow my plants small, I don't feed them during vegetative growth because there's enough nutrients in the soil to last them until I force flowering; then I use miracle grow 15/30/15.
I'm not going to use a chemical fertilizer this time though, I'm going to use an organic feed called "Bio-Bizz Bloom". Chemical fertilizers, no matter how little you use always seem to burn the leaves and make them curl up.
