One problem down, another comes up.

So until recently i was having issues with the ph in my soil because of some stupid mistakes i made early on in the grow.(its my first grow so ive made lots of stupid mistakes and ive learned from them all.) So i recently got that fixed and started ferting the plant finally, and good golly did the plant appreciate that. I saw a HUGE amount of growth in a 3 day period. However i still believe i have one or two more problems to solve. some of the leaves have yellow flecks all over them, others are yellowing around the blades and getting necrotic. However the most worrysome thing is that the new undergrowth seems to be dying out at an accelerated rate. Im personally thinking its just a bunch of nut deficienies that should be solved since im able to fert again, but id much rather be safe then sorry.

first picture is before the ferting, second is after. (i know its not needed to diagnos a problem but im proud ^^). All the following are some examples of the problems i was talking about.

Gundari I tried to download your pics but could not.....it may be a problem with my dial up service...don't know but can't get a close look at the new leaves but will take a guess that perhaps you are now OVERFERTING.

Read this post carefully and it will explain how once you fix your ph you suddenly can have a nute burn problem. I'm just guessing (can't see pics sorry) but give this a read through and see if it makes sense to you.

I would stop giving any new ferts until you figure out what going on.

Looks like bugs. What's UNDER the spotty leaves? White eggs and webs, or not much of anything? With that type of damage:
    Webs + eggs= mites
    No visible bugs= thrips
The chew marks don't look thrippy to me. Ima go with mites.

You were spot on man. I checked the bottoms of the leaves with spots and i found little white eggs and webs on some. Ive got mites so i suppose ill do some research on the site and get to fixing the problem first thing tomorrow.

ok so i lied. After i did some reading i got a bit more proactive.

As per stinky's advice in another thread, i got my dust buster and gave my plant a good twice over. Investigated the leaves again and saw a large reduction in activity but still some eggs so i have the plant a good spray down with pytherins (i think thats the chemical compound, if its not its close enough for you to get my meaning i hope) to kill the eggs (spray said it would) and any living ones left.

That sound like a good first counter measure?

Ok so i think I'm winning the battle against the mites, a lot of my leaves have recovered to be totally green and pretty again, a few still have dots on them but I usually find a few residual mites on the bottom of them so I just give that spot a few shots with the pytherin spray I've been using. However I went ahead and ordered some Neem oil online, and i was just curious if there were any specifics I had to know on its use? So I can spring into action when it arrives.

I know you dilute it according to the directions on the bottle and add a drop or two of dish soap, but how much do I apply? Is it a very light misting or do I want to drench the plant? Do I want to get the top and bottoms of the leaves or just the tops? or just the bottoms? Hopefully by this point you can see what I'm getting at, thanks for any advice in advance ^^.

I make sure the top and bottom of all leaves are sprayed. I am quite liberal in my spraying. I won't lose any bud to a bug!! :smokin:
