JUST WONDERING ABOUT LIGHTS

HI ALL..

i grew some amazing smoke a good few years ago.but i cant for the life remember when the plants are only potted,do you leave the light on for 12 hours or 24 hours..
i,m growing 5plants,and have everything set up,inc a 400watt light..

any advise would be welcome.. :hippy:

18 hours on for vegging.
12 hours for budding.

Roughly, but that's all I use.

The important part is no more than 6 hours of DARK in veg.
Any where from 18 to 24 hours of light is fine.
Then switch to 12 on 12 off for flower.

I've always wondered what if u interupt the dark in the 18/6 lighting will this negatively affect the plant

It could stress the plant, possibly causing a hermaphrodite. Or the plant could go into flower, either losing veg time (and ultimately size), or adding re-veg time.

psteve is right about the possible stress, but it's kind of rare, and strain specific as well. Some can handle a lot of stray light and some can't. I do work in my grow area for hours on end sometimes after lights out. Plants need a couple three days of a light pattern before they think about switching.
