miracle grow potting soil (yes I know, oh well, too late now, i can change it when I transplant)

5 26 watt warm cfls

vinegar+water dripping in baking soda for carbon dioxide

Some paper cups

That's it for now.

THey are on 18/6, ph is 6.8, temp is probly 75-80. Germinated in paper towels from bagseed, 10 out of 10 germed, killed the badly deformed and weak ones as I only will be growing 3 to flower.

One of them is drooping, but I did a flush i'll see if that helps tomorrow. The biggest one with the fatest leaves has a yellow on the veins near the base of the leaves, can't see it in the pics but should I be concerned?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated during this stressful period.

Nice! You should get the "Daylight" Spectrum 5500-6500k CFL's for Vegging, and "Warm or Soft White" 2700k bulbs for Flower. Thats what I hear..I just started my first as well.

Well, the lil droopy guy is perking up already! Yay. The big one with the fat leaves on closer inspection has brownish/purple veins near the base of the leaves, not yellow.


EDIT-Oh well, they aren't warm actually. The only ones they had were "general purpose", I don't what these fall under. They didn't have the warm or cool ones, it doesn't have information on the spectrum anywhere either.

That what Mine look like, bought them from Home Depot, Wal-Mart Has them as well. On the Back of the package at the "Top-right or Top-center" It States how many Volts to Watts & Kelvins(K) i.e. these are 120V-27watt 5,500K CFL's. Hope this Helps. ~Stay Green

carl how much did u pay for those at home depot... Where I live there like 8 something for just 1 yet at walmart they sell a 2 pack for 6.88.... both 26 watt 100 watt equiv 6500k daylight.. Im just waiting for walmart to get more in..

I have even found them in the local Ace Hardware store.

I grew a singl plant with a mix of the ones from home depot and walmart. the ones from home depot are actually 5500k and the ones from walmart are 6500k I flowered with a mix of 47 watt 2700k from walmart 5500k home depot and 6500k walmart and my plant looked pretty gravy. check my grow log link.

Alright, just a quick update. They seem to be doing well, although the edges look a bit serrated and the serrated little tips are curling upwards a bit, two of the new leaves on one of them are starting to "pray", not sure if I should add salt or wait till watering time and flush them all, what do you guys think???
