Weighty issue...
Hi There,
Whenever you hear about a big grow op bust they always report the potential street value or the weight of the haul... I'd assume they'd use the weight to calculate the value. What does the fuzz consider weight? The entier plant, stalk, fan leaves and all? Do they base it on the size of the plant at the time of the bust or the or the size potential? Do they take into consideration the strain ('cause lowrider strains would produce less per plant...)?
I need to know because I have 500,000,000 sticky icky trees on the go right now and I'm renting my attic out to a cop.
Just kidding, y'all! Hoot! Hoot!

Weighty issue...
lol!
Many of the cops from rural municipalities probably have no idea how to rate the average weight, potency, etc., of the farms they bust and consider the weight to be the entire weight of each individual tree they ceremoniously hack down. It improves the overall look & feel of the bust when they report it to their higher-ups, so I imagine they try to fabricate the final weight in any way they can. After all, they're mainly used to dealing with industrial rag-weed coming from Mexico & being sold in little plastic nickel/dime baggies.
Wow, five hundred million plants, eh? I'm not an imperialist, by any means...but I'd gladly form an army of adamant stoners & invade any country that had that many plants growing in any one spot!

The whole thing is weighed as it is pulled from the ground, including dirt, stem etc to get the weight high for charging purposes

They also maximise the value by working it out in 8ths and as everyone knows the more you buy the better the price.
In the UK you pay around £20 for 3.5 so a kilo would be worth £5714 , but nobody would pay that if they were buying a K , it would most likely be around the 2000 to 2500 mark.
