Fire!
So I just got back from checking the status of my house...
well there's bad news and good news -
Bad news: my house has burned, not entirely, but quite a bit. We weren't able to go inside yet due to the hazardous environment, but we could see half the house was blakc and there were no leaves on any of our trees.
Good news: insurance will take care of a lot!
Good news#2: I got to talk to the Governator! He was in Rancho Bernardo (my town, a san diego suburb). He is extremely serious and cold blooded, but he talks just like he does on TV and he's pretty cool! :P
So that's it...at least the house is still standing! So many people lost their homes completely.. its so devastated out there. It's like a different planet.
Best wishes to you all in SoCal!

sorry to hear your pad got burned canadanks
you got a good attitude..keep your head upLove is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

Fire!
friendowl, my gmail status message has been "Keep yo head up" for about 2 years now
thats a funny coincidence.. but you said it man. thanks for reminding me
thank you 4osiris and all of you for the support, it is very appreciated in times like these
but keep in mind man, the medias will make anything look 10 times worse
it is very bad out here, but its not like the fire has taken over everything
a lot has been spared, yet a lot has been burned, unfortunately
but all in all, there was only 1 death and very few injuries
most of the people will get help from insurance
the plants and trees will regrow, more beautiful than ever
things will be just fine
