Different Strain, Different High? :|

The last couple of weeks, I've been smoking the same weed, I got it from a VERY reliable guy, you know, and I checked out the smell, texture, color, etc, all I can say, is, that it IS pot.

But, here is the problem, on this strain, whenever I light up, I begin feeling my eyes heavy, feel my frontal part of my head filled with "hot" air, a nice warm feeling. My eyes get red, my heartbeat is fucking blazing, you know typical "high" feelings, but, now here is the doubt. I never seem to feel euphoric, Everyone says things are supposed to be hilarious, laughing at everything, I DONT. I feel somewhat relaxed, moving in slow-mo and then after the peak, I feel sleepy and want to sleep.

So waht I want to know is that, if different strains have different effects, so maybe I should get a different strain, maybe a purple haze one, or maybe the weed is laced.

NEVER BEGIN LAUGHING AT EVERYTHING OR FEELING EUPHORIC, what do you think?

there are two "types" if you will, of MJ. Indica, and Satvia. Indica will give a body high, like what you are describing, and Satvia will give you that "euphoric" feeling. So to answer your question, yes, a different strain will give you a different high, but make sure the next strain is a Satvia.:jointsmile:

Go with a strain of purple, good high and it will hace you feeling all wiggly inside lol, i had some last night great nugs dark and crystalicious

Just like getting drunk off of Gray Goose (nice clean & clear drunk) or getting drunk off of 10 different shots (dirty drunk).

Different strains and high/low quality give you a different high.

Sure it IS pot that you are purchasing, but for all you know it's shit quality.

i honestly dont get it... i understand indica and sativa but i dont understand why its different its the same thc is it not... and since thc is the psycoactive substance then it would be the same high... im not denying the difference im just asking for some further scientific/chem. definition

sounds like you are smoking some strong strong indica. i had some stuff from colorado like that once. heavy heavy duty feeling. i had a few oz's and I kept smoking and somking. made me feel down after a while.

EZ Jake: Alcohol is alcohol, right? One shot of Gray Goose is equal to one glass of wine. YES! Same alcohol content, yet different drunks.

When you get drunk off of wine, it lingers and it's heavy. Hangover is almost guaranteed and it's a motherfucker.

When you get drunk off of prime stuff (Gray Goose), it's a light drunk and right after it's peak you feel a slow return to normalcy. Hangover is rare and if it does come, it's light and not so dramatic.

It's still alcohol.

Great weed will give you a great high. Brick weed will give you a high, just not as good as the good shit.

THC is not the only compound at work. There are also CBN, CBD, and a host of others helping to shape your individual 'high'.
