    Molasses- but how?

After loads of traipsing around I managed to get hold of some molasses- I'm into week 5 of flowering and fancy adding some to the plants' feed but unfortunately I can't remember the dosage (in soil). Can anyone enlighten me? Thanx

    Molasses- but how?

    Hey Leafy,

I use a teaspoon per gallon.I mix it throughly first and then add my nutrient solution from one of my res.(depending on flowering/veg./seedling).I use molasses all the way through but dont put it in the res as it ends up mucking things up a bit.So what I do is put enough water in the bottom of my gallon containers that I feed with and mix up the molasses with it.As I am topping off my res.over the course of the week I will add 2 tsp of mollasses once or twice depending on what phase the girls are in.Im a big believer in using mollasses and am sold on it.

When I am doing my flushing which for me is the dilution methods over a week to a week and half I used RO water,ph'd,with a tsp of mollasses.Taste and smoke are wonderfull (from my perspective).

    Hope this helps.

Charles is right. One TBSP of molasses per gallon is usually plenty enough to get those beneficial microorganisms working into a frenzy in your soil. Did you know that molasses can also be used in conjunction with orange oil to control most common indoor pests? Check out this article for all you'll ever need to know about using molasses as a soil conditioner/sweetener.

It's a great article...very informative. I've been supplementing with molasses for quite some time, and have never been disappointed with the results.

And, let me also say, I share a deep mutual respect for your avatar!
