Shouldn't be too late. If the taproot had emerged already, then dried out, it would be too late. But, if the shell hasn't cracked yet, just add another moist paper towel to the top of them and you should be just fine.

Is it better to just use tap water and leave open to a room for 24 hours, then adjust the PH? Do I adjust the PH first, then leave the water open to a room?
