actually, the gold in our reserves is what backs the currency that we have printed...unfortunately, now, we don't have the gold to back the money that we're printing and sending overseas...how much sense that makes to do...

you don't really think we just print money onto paper anytime we need it and things are just dandy do you?? the gold that this country has in our gold reserves is the gold that represents the value of our american dollar..
