This could start a new thread called 'The things you've done for some weed'

About ten years ago when I was about 19 yrs old I lived in the South of England in a place called Taunton. Me an a load of mates were in a big local park havin a few beers and smokes. There is a bridge over a flowing river and right under the bridge is a man made sort of waterfall that drops the river level by about 2 meters. We got to talking about wether anyone dared jump off the bridge into the higher level of water and go down the waterfall. Someone said 'Ill give an 8th of rocky to any one that does it'. In those days rocky was quite nice and I was considering it. We talked some more and another mate said they would give an 8th to. Well, a quater was enough for me so we went to the bridge. I jumped in and the river carried me to the waterfall. I went over and dropped hard onto my arse. Boom. Sent a shock right up my spine. I went under and then started to swim. I hadnt thought about it properly because there was no riverbank either side for a good 80 meters. I was swimming with my jeans, t-shirt and shoes on and it was hard going. I started really panicing because it was so hard staying afloat. About 30 meters from where I could get out I ran out of steam and really thought I was in big trouble. My feet started to sink down into the water until... bump...I could touch the floor. I was so relieved. I stood up and the water was only chest high. It had been all along! It was only deep immediatley after the waterfall. I felt very stupid but so relieved. When I got the weed though I was happy. Whenever I go down that way to see my mates the story always comes up ha ha. I don't even know if you guys will find it funny but it makes me smile to this day.
