Can you skip Veg stage????

I am a complete noob, although I have been reading for years on cultivation. I stumbled upon some info that was extremely interesting. It stated that after germ. stage, you can put your plants on a 12/12 lighting cycle from the start. It continued to explain that the plant would grow very few branches if any, and the yield would only be 70% of normal. Is this possible???? I just don't have the money or space for a full veg to flwr grow, but this would be ideal. It is all going to be personal smoke, so to lose a little at harvest would be ok. Thanks for the advice.

Search on Sea of Green or SOG.
You can go right to flower and skip veg, in fact there are articles written on 12/12 from seed.

You can grow in 6" pots and therefore what you loose in plant you gain in square footage.
in other words 12 full plants may yeild 12oz after full veg. 48 plants may yeild 12oz with no veg.

SOG is great for limited height and smaller spaces. i would n't think it works well with a sativa dom strain.

HOLY NUGGETS!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you Storm Crow. I linked up to a SOG / CFLs thread and it ROCKED.

This guy uses 6sq. feet and yields 1 dry gram per watt from 20oz pop bottles cut down to 16oz.... basic soil, and a 9week harvest. Great Micro grow. Talk about "bang for the buck."
