here ? i'm too new to know really, but not that ive seen. on other forums with a very large community? of course, its very common. mods are just people - not perfect, and their jobs are hard. i've modded a 10,000+ user forum or two in my day and it is maximum shitty sometimes.

i dont think mods 'play favorites' but theyd be a lot less likely to ban someone with 5,000 very constructive posts who had one bad day and ranted than some boobnewb who goes off racially, sure.

I would assume it depends on what you say, the validity of it, and how politely you say it. That's the whole point of the Feedback Forum

Of course, talking shit about mods is never really a good idea, just like you shouldn't disrespect cops, no matter how much they may deserve it :jointsmile:

Some mods abuse their power, some don't. Some would ban/infract you for talking shit, and make up some bullshit excuse. Some wouldn't. Just like most authority figures, mods let their power get to their heads :thumbsup:

I have never been banned or had a problem with any mod ,I am just a curious person by nature and I like asking questions others wouldn't.

I should guess that it would depend on what you said and how you said it. I think mods are governed by the same human nature that governs others. Some of us have long memories and any offense would stick in the memory. Others of us, like me, practically forget things from week to week (there are an awful lot of y'all!).

Favoritism in bans and infractions? I think we work hard to be as fair as we can. I know we're regular people, though, like everyone else, and regular people aren't perfect. I'm certainly not!
