I love the way the high takes ages to hit, i can gradually feel my self getting higher got another one stored up for later, i'm gonna be flying.

i havnt had great results with the lightbulb...... any detailed tips and technques for use? did you grind bud into a powder? how you know when its done or how long to hold it over flame and how high above.... help a brotha out...

I use my LB vape alot to get high in my dorm without smell and what I do is basically

-Break your bud up as fine as possible, not powder but pretty fine, my theory behind this (just a theory) the more surface area of the bud exposed the more THC will be released.

-Cover the carb and the pen tube with your fingers and using either a candle or a lighter (be careful with a lighter) hold the lighter about a 1/2 inch to an inch away from the bulb and let it heat it. The first time you do this may take a minute or so because the bulb nor the bud is hot.

-Keep the flame there (make sure you don't touch the glass!!! it is EXTREMELY HOT!!! keep your fingers on the electrical tape or anything that insulates heat!!!!) until you start to see a white vapor swirl around the light bulb. I usually shift the bud around a bit when this begins to happen to make sure I don't burn the bulb or the bud. Once you have a huge amount of swirling vapors, let go of the carb and inhale.

-Be careful! You may want to have some water nearby when you try this because it hits hard, and is very hot and does induce coughing in many people that aren't used to it.

-Set the bulb down (I usually run cold water over it to cool it down, this is not a good thing because the rapid temperature change weakens the bulb and it make crack or shatter but it doesn't bother me because I dont like to use the same bulb for more than a week or so) let it cool off.

-Once the weed is browning that means there is less THC in there, once its black your done. If you REALLY want to preserve bud then you even use the brown/blackened weed later on by collecting it and using it for tea, or a blunt, obviously not gonna get you really high but if your desperate.

-Lastly, take a hit or two then wait a bit because vaping creeps up on you and is a different kind of high. It is much clearer in my opinion. But dont take too many hits because you may get TOO HIGH and feel a bit sick after.

I made one last night when I was really baked, and I used the wrong type of cap to make it with. I was wondering: will the vape still work without a carb, or will I not be able to get the vapor without one? The type of cap that I used looks like this:
