Nailhead:
I could go to another doctor as long as I get a referral from another doctor. The problem is my province only has 2 gastroenterologists, and they are both quite busy, so if you get to see one, you should consider yourself lucky.
The way the Canadian medical marijuana laws are set up, you need to get two Doctors to sign some papers saying that they have tried every other means of treatment, and nothing has worked. Then you can get permission to smoke and grow medically. The problem is, I'm not willing to undergo any more years of prednisone, asacol, enterocort, and who knows what else, I've got a system that has been working for me, and legal or not, I'm not giving it up.

^That sucks they want you to try some other extreme dangerous drugs before using a safe drug simply because some people have a biased issue against it. A lot of people here have the same attitude, like they really think it would be better if I would wait until I'm having surgeries to remove parts of my stomach before trying something that might be able to prevent something extreme like that!
But your laws are pretty relaxed though right? I mean what is the worst case scenario that could happen if you grew your own bud without the medical legality? I was planning to start growing my own here, but after reading stories about the DEA charging simple growers for personal use as DRUG LORDS, I'm having second thoughts, even though I'm legal by the state of California. The thought of moving to Canada for more relaxed marijuana laws is something I have been considering, I'm thinking about taking a vacation trip up next year sometime to check it out. I mean Jesus Christ, I just want to grow so I can save some money and live a healthy life, but the God damn DEA would rather me just live in pain and get a colostomy bag. To hell with that!

^ Worst case scenario for a small grow op, if it was your first offense, would probably be a fine and some community service. If it was a larger grow op, or if you had pot bagged for sale, you would probably get some jail time. In certain cities, you can get away with smoking it on the street, but rubbing it in a cops face would get you busted. (If you were wondering, those cities are Vancouver, Montreal, and to a lesser extent, Halifax.)
If you were just busted for possession, you could get it thrown out of court if you were willing to fight it. A few years back our supreme court ruled that Canadian marijuana laws are unconstitutional, and need to be rewritten. They still have not been rewritten, so it's almost like there are no marijuana laws; if you choose to fight it. The cops will still try to enforce the unconstitutional laws, probably because most people are not aware that they could get away with smoking.
If you are in California, I can highly recommend a trip to Vancouver, or anywhere in BC. It's a beautiful place, and it does have the highest ratio of pot friendly people in the country. I get there about twice a year, but I spend the rest of my time clear across the country on a beautiful island filled with hicks.
