Is this bulb any use for growing?

I have a very small lowryder growing on my window sill at the moment and it badly needs some light. The bulb i have in my lamp is a 60w reflector bulb. i dont know fuck all abought lighting but it says R36 60W E27 on it. Can anyone explain what these letters mean and what to look for when buying a small grow bulb on a â?¬10 budget?

buy yourself a daylight compact fluorescent bulb. it will be in the blue package. make sure it is the 100W and is the DAYLIGHT BLUE version. NOT the YELLOW or RED.
