This happened to me when smoking with my younger brother. I let him take a gravity bong hit after a few bowls and everything was good for some 15 minutes and then he started yelling that he wanted to call the cops and go to the hospital.
He says it was the worst night of his life and will never touch the stuff again. Which sucks cause he was my closest smoking buddy.
Taking a cold shower in this kind of situation helps.
