Most people like da dankness. They love holding a miniature green brick in their hand. Where I live rain is a problem on any outdoor plants toward the end of the grow. The dense, tight buds hold in water more, and are more likely to suffer from bud rot. I wonder if anyone knows what varieties have loose, fluffy buds, since I think those might air out better?

I had my white widow, juicy fruit, afghan and California Skunk growing in around 35-50% humidity. Harvested 12 days ago. Very fluffy buds covered in trics. Drying they are shrinking down nicely. I tried some juicy fruit 2 days ago and it is really potent. Of course much more depends on how it was raised to begin with.
I hope here are some pictures that may help. Dr. Bloor

that looks like some nice stuff dr. bloor. from a personal standpoint, fluffy is preferable, but dense is bag appeal.

Thanks for the photos. Looks nice-n-frosty. Are you saying those varieties you mentioned all have fluffy bud tendencies? Is it just me, or is the one in the photo fairly dense-looking?

I hate getting a quarter that looks like 2 grams or getting a full ziplock of doja but it burns in one night
GDP was grown way too dense and a bud the size of dime broke up into a spliff so I started to not like dense as much, and fluffy burns really really fast and quick. So Id say I like either sticky fresh wet fluffs or dry dense crumble erb and they switch off every few weeks or so.

Either way is good for me. IrieDread, you sure the stuff that burned real quickly wasn't real dry? If it's fluffy I will just pack it down harder into the bowl than I would with some dense ganja. Or you roll the joint tighter, I guess.
But considering I love sativa, I'd have to say fluffy, fruity smellin' ganja is my favorite. It's funny though, some dealers will use the difference in density in strains to rip people off. For instance, 3.5 grams of some dense nug could either be one nug, or a few smaller ones. But you know that there'd need to be more of the fluffy nugz to add up to the same.
But to me, fluffy is a good sign! <3 sativas, especially the haze!
Ah, but I do love a good indica indeed.
