are you talking about the timers with the yellow dial inside the metal box that looks like a small circuit breaker box? It has a metal lever that switches from left to right for a manual override? I will try to get a pic and post it to see if were talking about the same thing.

Medivax - The way that you phrased your question shows a general lack of knowledge about electrical wiring. Do yourself a favor and get an electrician to help you out.

I agree with PC 1000% on this one. Unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing, leave wiring to a CERTIFIED electrician. Burning your house down with you and your family in it is NOT worth the risk.
I've been in the construction business all my life and I am pretty handy doing just about anything. But, when it comes to more than resetting a tripped breaker, I call my friend (IBEW). I'll pull wire and all that good shit, but I'll be damned if I am attempting to tie it all in. No, nope, no fucking way.
Please, dont you do it either. 220 will kill you or cause a fire, quickly!

I have seen some different designs and I do know a bit about electric. I came across A four light relay box at How to Build a Four Light Grow Light Controller for Less Than $80
But Haven't found anything for say the Intermatic setup direct to a breaker with out the Dryer cord plug.

A 240 v Intermatic timer costs around $50. That's all you need - just hook it up, if you know how. If you don't, get an electrician! It's really as simple as that. There are some things on this earth that you shouldn't screw around with unless you have the proper training and experience. Circumcisions and electrical wiring are two things that come to mind right off the top of my head.
Seriously, if you don't know what you are doing, stay out of the electrical panel. That's the best advice I can give to both nOObs and the community in general. I'm not trying to dis you. There's lots of ways to save money on setting up your grow, this just isn't one of them.

Insurance companies LOVE to tell you to go to hell when you put in a claim for losses incurred as a result of a) non-code wiring and b) illegal activities.
For many of us, a home is our life savings. It's just not worth losing that equity for a few ounces of weed.

On a serious note.....I have to take umbrage at the suggestion that you are offering some sort of "good thing" to the noobs here medevac with some off the wall electrical design (no pun intended :wtf. With a screen name like yours I'd love to think that health and safety were a little more important to you than your thread indicates.
