I agree with Boobs on this one. It wouldn't be proper chain of custody and going into a room to cut your own hair sounds pretty far fetched to me.

Sorry for the slight hijack but what's up old man 1toke? I am little upset to see this trend in hair testing happening. It seems like we are going to be up against an even greater challenge when it comes to finding employment because of this. I thought that beating the urinalysis was hard enough and now I could potentially be up against hair tests in the future. The thought of this is really depressing. How much longer do we as cannabis smokers have to endure this oppression? Its total bullshit.

Ok folks, I have heard a lot of talk here about smoking, but not edibles. I have an example to pose and yes, I advance searched FBR posts by hair and read for a couple of hours. Here is the situation:

Need to pass a hair test in ~ 10 days (by 12/18)
5'8", 165 lb, average activity level, lift or aerobics 1-2x week
consistent diet, balanced between protein and carbs
MMJ patient that is light user but consumes edibles
hair is super fine - have been told it has 2 parts rather than typical 3 parts (?)
hair length is now 1-1/2 inch, cut every 4 weeks to 1 inch length
last instance of use was on 11/18 - 3 weeks ago
light smoker from 9/15 - 11/18, average 1 small toke/day
average 1 brownie/week from 9/15 - 11/18 - each ~ 0.3 gr per brownie

How will edibles metabolize through my system (same or diff from smoking)? Are there any posts that I may have overlooked that addressed this issue? What type of regimen should I follow?

Please, no smartasses telling me to shave my head - the company requires 1 inch of head hair when I start and they yank it out with the root to be able to test for all sorts of stuff. Thanks for your advice.

That's the first I have ever heard of that! Edibles will pretty much act the same as the same amount of THC smoked as the same amount of THC eaten (assuming the edible has been properly prepared).

Yeah, the employment agency recruiter told me that and I am skeptical, yet uninformed on recent testing procedures. A couple of follow up questions:

1. consumption being less than a gram a week (probably between 0.50 - 0.75/week) and 3 weeks since last intake, I consider this a light user... do y'all agree?

2. assuming this pattern of consumption, how aggressive of a program will one need to undertake to pass a test... say, within 7-10 days?

3. is the time window for hair tests still 90 days or has that changed?

4. will very fine hair tend to be easier or more difficult to cleanse for the purposes of passing the test?

I do know that fine hair reacts poorly to bleaching, coloring, and harsh treatment in comparison to thick hair. I am hoping to get some quality input to design a program that will not leave me looking like I stuck my finger in an electrical outlet or just got a bad Ogilvy home perm.... Thanks

The Mac treatment has pretty good luck on fine hair and your level of usage, but it's a crap shoot. If you go that way, use Zydot shampoo on the day of the test.

Bleaching and redying twice followed by Zydot on the day of the test would almost insure a pass.

The time line is still about 90 days.

They don't yank the hair out, they snip it off close to the skin.

Jerry G, thanks for the advice. I was thinking of doing a bleach/redye in the next day or two, then Mac treatment every other day until the test. I will be using Zydot the day of the test without a doubt. Comments or opinions from anyone?

BTW - Is there any benefit on following a specific order of treatment, or does it not matter?

Still looking for advice on the timing or sequence of the Mac, bleach/redye, Zydot treatment regimen to follow.

What I do know is that the day of the test I will use the Zydot Ultra Clean system.

Unanswered questions remain:

1) Is it better to wait until closer to the test date to do bleach/redye?
2) Using the Mac method, does one need to watch the timing of when before/after the bleach/redye a Mac is done so as to not counteract/lessen the effect of the bleach/redye?
