Been working on my grow box. spent over $200 the otherday on a cab and light. been workin on ventilation.

I have roughly a 4' square area 8 am growing in. its acually 3.36' squared.

I have 8 compact spirals in a homemade hood. these are 23 watt bulbs that produce 1,600 lumens each. So they state anyways. This is a total of 16,000 lumens being produced. Not including my side lighting. Which are 17 watt floros that have a 75 watt equivalent. Not to sure on how many lumens there produce. also have 2 ultra thin floros T4s which area only 8 watts each on the front and back. I am estimating that I have roughly 20,000 lumens total but 16,000 lumens above the plants. I amworried about the heat from the compacts. Plants look go but not as good as before so was wondering. how far away bcan these lights be from the tops. there is quite a bit of heat produced and at a stedy 80 degrees. irect fan on plants because of the lack of a moving fan. I figured I have supplied roughly 4670 lumens per square foot. Soca these lights be held higher above the plants without effect. I know that light deminishes at distances.

another thing is roughly 5,000 lumens over kill. I have ever angle covered in the box.
I will post pics. let me know what you think and how far away I can keeps the lights from the plants without dropping below 2,500 lumens.
