Marijuana - The Scapegoat
All my childhood and teenage years marijuana stood beside burning bibles
like a criminal with no just cause. Shackled with complete innocence to the trite finger pointing it has been subjected to for way too long. Marijuana, the popular scapegoat for many is a contagious excuse for morons to be...well...morons thus forming an opinion on those who make laws to keep the herb from getting it's well deserved approval. Labeling it a drug instead of an herb helps them to convince people that it isn't good for them. Many Americans among thousands of others around the globe suffer daily with MS, AIDS and cancer to name a few and the government has aided these morons who abuse marijuana into creating a law that helps these people stay in pain while ignoring your local crack dealer on the street corner. Drugs that comatose the already sick and helpless. I once read somewhere an article of comparison of marijuana to these man made creations from hell and thought to myself only a moron would believe such non-sense. But that's just it, people do believe it and they endorse it by buying up the products that put down beneficial herbs as such. They support it by not standing up for those who could use the healing aspects of this herb for it's only downfall that smoking a leaf could cause some lung problems although no where near as much as car pollution. It is a shame that we have picked Hummers over marijuana and it's sad that we endorse smoking cigarettes while we bash and ignore marijuana's usefulness. The only way we are ever going to win the battle of being free is to be able to choose what we do with our bodies and to educate the masses about these dangerous chemicals they sell behind the counter. I am more afraid of my physician then I ever will be of my pot dealer. At least I know I am getting a dime bag and not some candy coated rip off. The whole public bites into these three lettered diseases, (ADD, OCD etc...) and they buy these medicines over the counter and behind it while our doctors convince us that we are all so messed up that these things will help when my suggestion is smoke a bowl! Get on with your life! Get over yourself!

Modern Pharmecuticals are actually superior to crude drug preparations made from medicinal plants. But there is not reason why Americans should not be able to use doctor prescribed medications as well as personally prescribed Marijuana. The best of two worlds.

The term "marijuana" wasn't used in the united states until the early 1900s, the media coined the term to describe the evil drug that turned its users into axe-murderers and made african americans insolent and coupled with their evil jazz music lured white women into sexual acts. Hardly anybody realized this evil "marijuana" was cannabis sativa, hemp, the same plant that grew on every roadside in America. Extracts and oils of this plant also happened to be one of the most common medicines in that time. Only the American Medical Association realized and opposed the marijuana tax act of 1937.

Modern pharmaceuticals don't do what Marijuana does for people that live in pain. Sure Vicodin works for a month or so, weed never stops. We don't have proof that weed works tho because our government only pays to prove it's disadvantages which is only that it makes you eat icing straight out of the tub.
Pharmaceuticals have side effects much scarier than: Warning! You may consume lots of raw cookie dough!
Modern medicine is a rip and it doesn't sovle the problems, if it did why would we need counter-acting medicines? To counter all those horrible side effects we suffer from falling for the: 'Come on everybody's doing it!' Bandwagon retort that we as a nation are oddly comforted by.
My question is this my friend....is it high quality because they say it is or is there actual quality there? No my dear friend, don't let them leash walk you for their entertainment.
Be well

they just dont want to understand. They would never legalize weed only because it can be grown anywhere , anytime of the year.... and they cannot make a profit off of it. People can make there own medicine!! simple!! besides that big fact, weed calms people down...it actually helps me drive better, i drive like a nut and after just taking 2 hits i can drive slowly and cautiously just like the government wants!!...or do they want that?...of course not...they want me to drive nuts...hit people..make problems in society so they can get there fair share of pay..thats why alcohol is legal..because it drives people nuts and violent ...but yet weed makes people open up..and relax, and chill...and laugh most importantly lol.....there are soooo many reasons i believe the government wont legalize it...
The fact that canada can tolerate it and some european countries tolerate it makes there countries so much more free then ours....oh well...ill still keep smoking!!!!

There is plenty of profit to be made with hemp, aside from its recreational and leisure uses it has thousands of industial uses including textiles, paper making, construction, fuel, food. Cloth made from the fibers of the hemp plant is more durable than cotton, hemp also does not dry out soil as cotton does and has several benefits to the environment. One acre of hemp can produce as much paper as four acres of trees, hemp paper does not need to be bleached and requires less chemicals to manufacture, it can also be recycled more. Hemp can be used to make composite boards superior to lumber. Diesel engines were originally designed to burn vegetable oils including hemp oil, when burned it emits less carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and no sulfur dioxide.
So as you can see there really is plenty of profit to be made of hemp, not enough for these corporate bastards it seems. You're right about the other part, if marijuana was legal the alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical industies would loose BILLIONS. It is no coincidence that these companies donate to anti-drug organizations.
Remeber all of that, read The Emperor Wears No Clothes and spread the word. The only way to help legalize is to spread awareness.

Legalization is going to be very dificult because some of the biggest political supporters are the drug companies. And weve all seen what a roll they're on these last handfull of years. Let's not forget it was in fact the DuPont company that helped ban Hemp back in 1937. Because the cheap and varied use of Hemp fibers and Hemp seed oils threatened to keep the DuPonts from making big money in the newly developing textiles market.
Still today, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can just make out the high water mark, that place where the wave finally broke, and rolled back.

I am glad to say that the canadian goverment is experimenting with about 5 crops of hemp this year in ontario for use in rope, paper ,biofuel and a couple of uses we already know and i can't think of right now.But as for americans you guys/gals need to organize and rally the only way to get change is to force it, you want medicinal marijuana in your state protest it. Medicinal is the foot in the door for legalization if you can get it medicinalized in your state that opens more eyes then ever.people start thinking that if it is considered medicine it couldn't be as bad as they have heard in the past and that maybe it should be legalized .My grandmother is now pro pot because i sat there and explain to her all the pro's of marijuana and how it could stabilize our enviroment....but it could also be because when i was telling her all of this i was smoking a fat cannon and i think she inhaled alot of lofting smoke lol keep fighting you have canada's support .oh and we now have medicinal users in all provinces atleast one in every province isn't that crazy man
