i tried rooting late flowered branches in dwc, but they all rotted.... all three times....

i don't know what it is, but i can't lose clones in dirt unless i just dont do anything with them for a few weeks (no water). they stay perky, no wilt spray, no dome, nothing but wet dirt and rootone....

don't ask me, i just know it works

You MAY trim the roots back if you wish but if you use a "zyme" product then nature should take its course and do the work for you.

Any recommendations on one of these for dirt and one for hydro? Is there a good one for both?

I've noticed the same thing. They just seem to want to root real badly in dirt for some reason. Like you said, no spray or dome, no problems. I don't think I've ever lost a clone in soil, but I don't clone a whole lot in soil. Just keep em warm and moist, they'll appear to be hibernating for a couple weeks, then off they go.

i have chopped plants back to nonexistence and never use an enzyme product in dirt.....

as for hydro, i'll let you guys talk that one out, i'll sit back and learn

I personally use Cannazyme as recommended by my hydro guy but I can only speak for myself......and not about soil and "zymes" either.
