I see....so when things start oozing you are suddenly late for another appt :S2:

Drying things up DOES seem to be the answer here....I think the little space heater has done the best for things.....super low humidity perhaps? And a couple good paper clips on the tough areas to assist. It seems to be down to the last and lowest (go figure) to stems on the plant and while they are still running pretty good the rest seems pretty darn dry at this point (knock on wood....)

I did spray her with an antifungal and it seems to have stopped any new black spots from showing up so bit of a whew there.

I was just so....SURPRISED to see this thing do this to that degree....just never occured to me....thought I had everything down....I was all pumped. And even then I figured ....ahh it'll stop by tomorrow.....and it was WETTER THAN EVER!!

Glad to hear you had a good dinner Opie and thanks for the info and the support. I think I'd have given up by now if it weren't for everyone helping.

So there I go, being wrong again. If the antifungal cleaned up the black stuff then I guess it was a fungus.

Real glad to hear that she appears to be going to make it.

    And what's this?
    thought I had everything down
You're kidding, right? Please tell me you were referring only to your attempt at a reveg. And don't forget you still got a couple weeks until you know for sure. If you're lucky. I have two plants I've being trying to get to stop flowering for about 3 months now. Damn things just keeps spitting out the buds and eating itself. I've never seen anything like this, or even heard of it. The good news is, the few buds that have dried up and fallen off after my smaller pruning scissors accidentally fell onto them 3 times, are like, wow. And maybe even better than that.

    Oh I was SOOOOO ready....."BRING IT"....then the ooze....and I ran like hell.....

I honestly don't know if it was a fungus or mold or not.....maybe just the action of the spray dried up the dripping or something for all I know. Maybe the color of the spray is just making it LOOK less black but I don't really want to know the answer to that so I'm not going to look.

So YOU HAVE the plant that lays the golden buds....I have heard of it but never seen such a vision in real life. (very sorry to hear your plant won't stop flowering for you..)
    :S2:

Let me go back through my info from Rhizome and I will post it tomorrow.....just a few extra tips I think but they helped me for sure.

PS...if she does make it I'll do a revegging thread for anyones fyi.

Kushette survives to live another day? I'm glad you are feeling better about her and she is doing better too. I knew it would all work out if you gave her TLC and let her heal herself. I hope she makes you proud!

Thanks MVP....you made a difference telling me to wait.....I was eyeing the window.

    Update:

She seems MUCH better today.....no new black spots at all (i looked with a flashlight carefully) and few paper clip decorations still on her but they have made a huge difference with the "leaking" .....I mean transpiring....

Everyone here has been so great.....so supportive and helpful....I really just can't tell you how grateful I am for all the help.

    Thanks everyone.

You're certainly welcome WH, and I'm glad she's getting better. My two plants laying the golden buds are not long for this world I fear. After 5 months total flowering, they have eaten almost all the leaves off the plant. It keeps producing little tiny leaves at the bud sites, but I don't think they have a chance to get big before they are eaten up for their lovely nutrients. Any tips in this area would be great: http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-gro...flowering.html

I had a thought about stopping your plants from leaking (2 options). 1) Perhaps an anti wilt product applied only to the cuts, or 2) A product called 2nd Skin, I think. It forms basically a layer of artificial skin over cuts (for people).

If some of these things were said by other people then please excuse the fact that I got it wrong. These were things that Rhizome told me that I found VERY important during this "major pruning" attempt.

    1. You only need enough light to maintain photoperiod. While this is true for ANY lighting situation with growing I'm told that regular "room light" may actually be more beneficial and less stressful to the plant than anything else at the very beginning of the process.

    2. You do not need to clip the rootmass back in DWC because the root mass will die back to the appropiate level to the size of the plant it is supporting. You MAY trim the roots back if you wish but if you use a "zyme" product then nature should take its course and do the work for you.

    3. "The flowering mass mass produces hormones which will tend to keep the plant in flower (which means you want to take everything off) but the stress of a full strip can severely damage the plant. I would normally harvest whatever was solid, leaving the popcorn on the plant. The popcorn was where I'd compromise--I'd take off the top of the bract but leave the base
(1/4 to 1/2 inch). At the base of each bract there are dormant growth nodes (picture the response of a plant when topped). These nodes are dormant and it'll take awhile for them to wake up but the transition will be a lot quicker than if they had been removed entirely."

    4. Start the plant at approximately 200-300 ppms (and perhaps a touch of superthrive.) This amount was WAY lower than I planned to go so I found it very important.

Some of this information that I found extremely important was specifics .....exact numbers of ppms vs "a weak nute solution"
and the same thing with room lighting vs "soft or quiet lighing" which were phrases used UNIVERSALLY through my research. Neither phrase was specific enough for me so I found that particular info invaluable.

Thanks Rhizome......didn't think I'd remember all this did you??

hey girly, wanted to let you know my trick, in case it can help you.....

i'll take a low branch at harvest, and instead of trimming and drying, i clip, dip, and stick in some dirt to root and reveg.

they always look dead for about 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer, but generally all of the clones i've done like this have rooted and revegged (save for the ones that perished from neglect....)

plain water and st, 24hr low light (flouro's).

i have never attempted (nor do i plan on) revegging a plant in hydro .... uh uh, no way. you chemist peeps can stick to the hard stuff....
