I've made tinctures with alcohol a few times, but did not use the best parts of the plant. Some worked OK, but nothing like if I'd had used nice bud. Just a heads up for you. I used Everclear, and another time 151 rum, and I forget what else. The higher proof the better. I filled a jar with leaves and just a little trim, crammed it full as I could get it without chopping it up in an herb grinder or something. Let it sit in alcohol in a cool dark place for anywhere from 2 days to 2 months, the longer the better is my understanding. Filter it a couple times, let it almost evaporate, and there you go. I got a little buzzed, but as with cooking, I'm waiting until I get a bunch of buds before I start experimenting with the good stuff. Please by all means let us know about your experiences with it.

Brood mom for the Spice of Life stuff- big favorite around these parts. Super dominant, you can hit it w/ anything and it grows out like 'Tega.

Thanks Opie. My "testers" report a positive bio assay .....more of a up, creative type high than a body stone. The big test will be when I make some cookies for the hubby to sleep with. I haven't bio-assayed the second plant yet so can't say if it's more, less, or just different in the buzz.

rhizome, my very first thougt....I haven't heard of the DMSO strain....is it indica or sativa? I think I have some of that....among my horse linaments (sp?) (will have to think up something that will make hiim think its a cool thing to do....he's kind of easily swayed......"Honey. You won't believe this! We may have ALREADY WON 10,000,000 DOLLARS!!!!")

So Shorty weighed out heavy....I'm very surprised as I was expecting about 4 oz from her.....came up to 180 gms.....6oz, 11gms. So far I've only found one seed from the second plant. It REALLY makes me wonder about the differences between the sativa and indica phenotypes....

I'll post a pic of the MANY jars we have them in curing later today.
